B1 French reading: common questions
What is B1 French reading level?
B1 is intermediate. A B1 reader can follow the main points of clear texts on familiar topics, including narratives, opinions and workplace or cultural writing, and can cope with longer sentences and abstract vocabulary.
How do I get from A2 to B1 in French reading?
Increase text length before text difficulty. Read longer A2 passages until they feel routine, then move into B1 texts and accept that a handful of words per paragraph will be new. Re-reading each passage twice speeds the transition.
Is B1 reading enough for the DELF B1 exam?
